My name is Markus Christian Schmiedeberg, the person behind MCS-SOLUTIONS. My day job is as a Senior Product Designer, focusing on cloud services for web and mobile.
I come from a background in communication design. However, I never really identified with the label "designer"—it always felt too pretentious. I saw myself more as a translator of art—translating attributes, values, and intentions. The challenge lay in engaging with this seriously; otherwise, it would simply be fine art, lacking the underlying rationale or narrative.
For me, everything starts with an attitude—or "mindset," as the modern term goes ;-)—shared equally by the brand, the services, and myself. These elements must be aligned; anything else lacks authenticity, and that ultimately shows in the product. That is what has captivated me for 25 years: shaping and evolving the personalities of brands and services.

Which content management system best suits your specific needs? Most of them are capable of doing a great deal—or often too much, or the wrong things. So, which one? I recently faced this very question myself. The answer was surprisingly simple: a custom-designed one.
Anyone who shoots a lot produces enormous amounts of data — and tends to put off the cleanup: "just dump it on a hard drive, sort it later." In my case, honestly, that turned into quite a few hard drives. Sensible? Of course not. That probably won't ever fully change — but out of the attempt to at least improve the situation, MCS-DUPLICATE-FINDER was born.
I used to shoot commissioned work. Now — priorities change over the course of life, and photography has meanwhile become a passionate hobby. No AI, no prompting — just an old DSLR weighing roughly 1.3 kg. Yes, I know — you have to like it. ;-)
A little crocodile with hedgehog feet, a snake tail, mole hands and a backpack — what's that about? Well, that question goes to my son, who came up with Gibi's adventures at the age of 7 — I only brought the idea to life for him.
The shortest path isn't always the best one, that much convinced me — especially when you can fall into hot lava along the way. The angle has to be right, above all the tilt of the phone, otherwise the ball moves too fast, too slow or in completely the wrong direction. The brief came from my son, and that's how the labyrinth game Pathara came about.
